Setting Up Your Public Online Store

The online store is a public-facing storefront that lets members and visitors browse and purchase your products without logging in. It pulls from the same product catalog as your in-person POS, so anything you stock on the front desk can also be sold online. This guide covers enabling the store, configuring it, and sharing the link.

    How the Online Store Works

Your online store lives at a public URL unique to your gym. Anyone with the link can open it in a browser, browse your products by category, search by name, and see featured items at the top. Products you mark as out of stock display an "Out of stock" label, and products with a compare-at price show the original price struck through next to the sale price.

The store reflects your live product catalog. When you add, edit, hide, or restock a product in Products, the change appears in the online store automatically. There is no separate online catalog to maintain.

    Enabling the Store

    1. Go to Settings > Sales > Online Shop.
    2. Toggle Enable online shop to on.
    3. Click Save Settings.

When the shop is disabled, the public store URL will not display products. Enabling it makes your catalog visible to anyone with the link.

    Configuring Store Settings

All store configuration lives on the Settings > Sales > Online Shop page. Adjust the options below, then click Save Settings.

    Shop Status

    • Enable online shop — The master on/off switch for the public store.
    • Shop message — An optional message that appears at the top of the store. Use it for announcements, promotions, or shipping notices (for example, "Free local pickup on all orders" or "Holiday orders ship by 12/20").

    Tax

    • Apply tax to online orders — When on, tax is calculated on online purchases.
    • Tax display — Choose how tax appears at checkout:
      • Inclusive (in price) — Tax is built into the displayed product price.
      • Exclusive (added at checkout) — Tax is shown as a separate line added during checkout.

    Checkout

    • Allow guest checkout — When on, visitors can complete a purchase without creating a member account. When off, buyers must be linked to a member record.

    Fulfillment and Shipping

    • Require shipping address — When on, buyers must provide a shipping address at checkout. Turn this off if you only offer in-store pickup.
    • Flat shipping rate — A single shipping charge applied to every order. Leave at 0 for free shipping or pickup-only stores.
    • Free shipping threshold — When a flat shipping rate is set, orders above this dollar amount ship free. Leave at 0 to always charge the flat rate.

    Notifications

    • Order confirmation email — Sends the buyer an email confirming their order.
    • Fulfillment email — Sends the buyer an email when their order is marked fulfilled.

Preparing Your Catalog for the Store

Before sharing the store link, make sure your products are ready to sell online:

    1. Go to Products.
    2. For each product you want to sell online, confirm it has a clear name, a short description, and at least one price.
    3. Add a product image wherever possible. Products without an image show a placeholder icon, which looks less polished to shoppers.
    4. Assign each product a category so shoppers can filter the catalog. The category filter bar only appears when products have categories.
    5. Mark your best sellers or current promotions as Featured so they appear in the Featured section at the top of the store.
    6. Set a compare-at price on any product on sale to display the original price struck through.

Keep stock counts current. Products that run out display an "Out of stock" label automatically once inventory tracking marks them unavailable.

    Sharing Your Store Link

Your store URL follows the pattern yourdomain.com/store/your-gym-id. To share it:

    • Add it to your website as a "Shop" navigation link or button.
    • Post it on social media when you launch a new product or run a sale.
    • Include it in newsletters and emails sent through Marketing.
    • Link it from the member portal so members can reorder supplements and apparel between visits.

Because the store requires no login to browse, you can share the link freely with prospects and the public, not just current members.

    Next Steps

    • Add and organize products (see Adding & Managing Products).
    • Set up inventory tracking so out-of-stock items update automatically (see Inventory Tracking & Alerts).
    • Configure your payment processor so online orders can be paid (see Connecting Your Payment Processor).
