    What is Pulse AI?

Pulse AI is GymPoint's built-in artificial intelligence engine, designed to help gym owners make smarter decisions, save time, and retain more members. It analyzes your gym's data and provides actionable insights across four key areas: lead scoring, churn prediction, smart dunning, and weekly insights.

    AI Capabilities at a Glance

    Lead Scoring

Every lead in your pipeline receives an AI-generated score from 0 to 100. Pulse AI evaluates engagement signals, form data, follow-up responses, and behavioral patterns to predict which leads are most likely to convert into paying members. Your sales team can prioritize high-scoring leads and spend less time on cold prospects.

    Churn Prediction

Pulse AI monitors your active members and assigns each one a health score from 0 to 100. The health score reflects how likely a member is to stay versus cancel. Factors include attendance frequency, payment history, engagement with classes, and communication responsiveness. When a member's health score drops below a configurable threshold, GymPoint flags them as "at risk" and suggests re-engagement actions.

    Smart Dunning

When a member's payment fails, Pulse AI optimizes your collections process. Rather than sending the same generic reminder to everyone, smart dunning analyzes each member's communication preferences and history to determine the best channel (email vs. SMS), timing, and message tone. AI-drafted dunning messages are personalized and designed to recover revenue while preserving the member relationship.

    Weekly Insights

Every Sunday evening, Pulse AI generates a digest of your gym's key metrics and trends. The report covers new leads, conversions, attendance patterns, revenue changes, churn risk shifts, and AI recommendations for the week ahead. It is delivered by email and displayed as a dashboard card.

    How AI Models Work

Pulse AI is powered by Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic. Here is what happens behind the scenes:

    1. Data collection — GymPoint continuously gathers behavioral data: lead form submissions, email opens, class bookings, attendance check-ins, payment transactions, and communication history.
    2. Behavioral analysis — Pulse AI processes this data to identify patterns. For example, it might learn that members who attend fewer than two classes per week and have not opened a recent email are at higher churn risk.
    3. Scoring and prediction — The AI applies its analysis to generate scores, predictions, and recommendations. Lead scores, health scores, and dunning strategies are all outputs of this process.
    4. AI-drafted content — For outreach messages (re-engagement emails, dunning texts, follow-up drafts), Pulse AI uses Claude to generate personalized content that your team can review and send.

All AI processing runs on GymPoint's servers. Your data is not stored by the AI model provider and is not used to train models.

    Privacy and Data Handling

GymPoint takes data privacy seriously, especially when AI is involved:

    • Data stays within GymPoint. Member data sent to the AI for processing is transmitted securely and is not retained by the AI provider beyond the immediate request.
    • No third-party training. Your gym's data is never used to train AI models. Pulse AI runs inference only — it reads your data to produce results but does not learn from it in a way that benefits other customers.
    • AI outputs are suggestions. Pulse AI never sends messages automatically without your team's review (unless you explicitly enable fully automated dunning or follow-ups). AI-drafted messages are presented as drafts for staff approval.
    • Audit trail. Every AI action is logged so you can see what data was analyzed, what output was produced, and which staff member approved it.

    Getting Started with Pulse AI

Pulse AI is available on all GymPoint plans, with varying monthly credit allocations. Once your account is active, Pulse AI begins scoring your existing leads and members automatically — there is nothing extra to switch on. Lead scoring and insights surface inside Marketing, churn signals appear on Members and the Dashboard, and smart dunning runs from Billing > Collections.
