Revenue & Financial Reports
GymPoint's revenue reports give you a detailed picture of your gym's financial performance. From high-level MRR trends to granular payment breakdowns, these reports help you make informed business decisions.
Accessing Revenue Reports
Navigate to Reports (/reports) from the left sidebar. The Reports hub brings together your financial and operational reports — revenue, payments, and memberships — with several views you can switch between across the top of the page.
Monthly Revenue Breakdown
The monthly revenue breakdown shows your total collected revenue for the selected month, split into categories:
- Recurring membership charges — revenue from active billing plans
- One-time payments — drop-in fees, retail purchases, enrollment fees
- Late payment collections — revenue recovered from previously failed charges
- Refunds — amounts returned to members (displayed as a negative)
The net total at the bottom reflects your actual deposited revenue after refunds.
To view a specific month:
- Go to Reports (
/reports). - Use the date picker at the top to select the month and year.
- The report refreshes automatically with that month's data.
MRR Trends Over Time
The MRR trend report plots your Monthly Recurring Revenue across a timeline, letting you spot growth patterns or declines.
- Open the MRR Trend view in the Reports hub.
- Select your date range (default is the past 12 months).
- The line chart shows MRR at the end of each month.
You can hover over any point to see the exact MRR figure. The report also shows your MRR growth rate as a percentage change month-over-month.
Key MRR components tracked:
- New MRR — revenue from brand-new memberships
- Expansion MRR — revenue from upgrades
- Contraction MRR — revenue lost from downgrades
- Churned MRR — revenue lost from cancellations
Revenue by Membership Plan
This report breaks down how much revenue each membership plan generates, helping you identify your most and least profitable offerings.
- Open the By Plan view in the Reports hub.
- View the table showing each plan's name, active member count, monthly revenue, and percentage of total revenue.
- Sort by any column to quickly find your top-performing plans.
Use this data to decide which plans to promote, adjust, or retire.
Payment Method Breakdown
Understand how your members prefer to pay by viewing the payment method breakdown:
- Open the Payment Methods view in the Reports hub.
- See a pie chart and table showing revenue collected by method — credit card, debit card, ACH/bank transfer, and cash.
- Review the average transaction amount per payment method.
This report is valuable when evaluating processing fees and deciding which payment methods to encourage.
Exporting Financial Data
All revenue reports can be exported for use in accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Navigate to the report you want to export.
- Apply any date range or filters.
- Click the Export button in the top-right corner.
- Choose your format: CSV or PDF.
- The file downloads to your device immediately.
Exported CSV files include all visible columns and respect any active filters. PDF exports include charts and tables formatted for printing.
Tips for Financial Reporting
- Compare month-over-month to spot seasonal trends in your revenue.
- Cross-reference the billing health report if you see unexpected revenue dips — failed payments may be the cause.
- Export monthly and share with your accountant to keep bookkeeping current.
- Use plan-level data to build targeted promotions for underperforming membership tiers.
