The Launch Plan: GymPoint Free for Gyms Under 50 Members
How GymPoint's free Launch plan works: who qualifies, what's included, the GymPoint Payments requirement, and what happens as your gym grows.

What Is the Launch Plan?
Launch is GymPoint's free plan for small gyms — full gym management software at $0/month for facilities with up to 50 active members. It isn't a trial and it doesn't expire. You get the core GymPoint platform: member management, recurring billing, class scheduling with waitlists, retail point of sale, the member portal, kiosk check-in, waivers, and reporting.
There's no credit card required at signup. Pick Launch, create your account, and you're running.
Why Is It Free?
No tricks: Launch is free because GymPoint earns a small share of card-processing revenue when you bill your members through GymPoint Payments (our integrated processing, powered by GoDaddy). Your members pay their dues, we earn on the processing, and the software costs you nothing. That's the whole model — the same one used by some of the biggest names in small-business software.
That means Launch has one real requirement: GymPoint Payments must be your payment processor. You'll connect it within your first 5 days (approval is real-time — most gyms are processing the same day), and your account stays free as long as you're actively processing member payments through it.
What's Included — and What Isn't
Launch includes everything in the Starter plan, with three differences:
| Launch (Free) | Starter ($79/mo) | |
|---|---|---|
| Active members | Up to 50 | Unlimited |
| Marketing emails | 1,000/month | Unlimited |
| Pulse AI credit | $1/month | Larger allowance |
| Free smart terminal | Included | Included |
| Members, billing, scheduling, POS, portal, kiosk | Included | Included |
Transactional emails — receipts, booking confirmations, member invites — are never counted against the marketing email limit. Your operations always work.
SMS messaging works the same on every plan (usage-based pricing). Promo codes don't apply to Launch — there's nothing to discount.
What Counts as an "Active Member"?
Your active, trialing, and frozen members count toward the 50. Leads, prospects, former members, and archived records do not count — keep your full history without penalty.
What Happens When I Reach 50 Members?
Nothing breaks and nothing locks. You'll see a heads-up banner starting around 40 members. At 50, adding member #51 prompts you to upgrade — everything else (billing, scheduling, check-ins, your existing members) keeps working exactly as before. Upgrading to Starter takes about a minute and removes the cap entirely.
Honestly? If you're outgrowing Launch, your gym is growing — that's the plan working.
What If I Don't Connect GymPoint Payments?
You have 5 days from signup to connect. After that, you'll get warnings in your dashboard and by email for 5 more days, and then your account becomes read-only until you connect payments or move to a paid plan. Read-only means you can see all your data but can't make changes — nothing is ever deleted, and connecting payments restores full access immediately.
The same applies if your account goes dormant: no member payments processed for 60 days puts the account on the same warning path.
Can I Downgrade From a Paid Plan to Launch?
Yes, if you qualify: 50 or fewer active members and GymPoint Payments connected and active. If you're over the member limit, the plan-change screen will tell you exactly why and by how much.
How Do I Sign Up?
Choose Launch on the pricing page, or go directly to app.gympoint.ai/signup?plan=launch. No card, no trial clock — just connect GymPoint Payments in your first few days and run your gym.
